Life is so full and busy, it can be really difficult to spend quality time together as a family. My Families Connect Challenge consists of 12 bonding activities you can do as a family, one per month.

Wellness 4 Families is another project of mine. My vision includes a day of connecting for families at the Limerick Forest Interpretive Centre. The day will include art and yoga for the children while parents learn how to give each other Thai massages, followed by a healthy cooking lesson. The day will end with a family activity out in the woods led by a guide. It is still months away but I have started to talk to people to co-lead it with me and I think it will be so much fun for local families.

Mama’s Time-Out is a monthly workshop in Kemptville for moms with older kids. As a mom, I find I often miss out on really cool events because they happen in the evening or on weekends when my children are at home.

I’ve always loved books. As a child, the highlight of my week was grocery shopping with my mom. I would head over to the cereal aisle. There was a basket of books hanging off the shelf. I would sit and read as many books as I could while my mother shopped.
